Women's Day of Reflection

Saturday, March 17, 9:30 AM  –  12:00 PM
“Lent and Social Justice”

Join us to spend some reflection time considering the relationship between Lent and Social Justice.  We will look specifically at the Seven Themes of Catholic Social Teaching, some of the women who exemplify these themes, and how the Lenten readings speak to us through these themes.

Presenter: Suzy Eyler

9:30-10 AM  Continental Breakfast
10 AM- 12 PM  Presentation

Suzy has been a teacher all her life, starting when she was a child playing "school" with her sister at the chalkboard in their bedroom.  Suzy holds a degree in education from Chestnut Hill College, a Master's in Theology from the University of Dayton, and a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Neumann University. Currently, she teaches at Bishop Eustace Prep. Over the course of her career, she has also taught adult education classes, facilitated faculty retreats, and led various workshops at religious education conferences across the country.

Lenten Soup and Supper

This year we would like to provide a series of soup suppers around a variety of topics.  Come as often as you would like. All are welcome.  Most of these soup suppers are scheduled from 6-7 pm and will be held in the Parish Center Room A (unless otherwise noted). Please come even if you cannot provide soup.  The series will include videos, guest speakers, some faith sharing and prayer and a great opportunity to meet other parishioners. This year we have chosen topics related to Pope Francis’ Share the Journey Campaign with a focus on Immigrants, refugees and persons from other countries and other faith traditions. It is important to pre-register either through this form or the ones that will be in the parish bulletin in an ongoing basis so we can alert you if the soup supper is cancelled due to weather conditions.  It also helps us with planning for our space and supplies.

RCIA - Be Filled with the Spirit

Are you, or have you at some point thought about becoming Catholic? Maybe you have tagged along with someone going to Sunday Mass and have had a "this is where I belong" feeling while there. If so, why not ask the questions and get the answers to help you decide.  In the RCIA program this is called the Inquiry Phase of discernment and is taking place now.  If you are interested, we would love to talk with you. For more information please contact Barbara Long at 856-810-0881.

Question of the Week

Week of February 18, 2018

Mark 1: 12 - 15

We offer this form of contemplative sharing for pondering Scripture while considering the question, and for the faith sharing which follows.

-  Listen/ Read (Lectio): Ponder God’s word and listen for what touches your heart.
-  Meditate (Meditatio): Notice what you notice. Allow God’s word to resonate in you.
-  Speak/Share (Oratio): Prayerfully share with the group your thoughts and feelings.
-  Rest in God’s presence (Contemplatio): Notice God’s presence and be still, surrounded by God’s love.

How do you respond to Jesus’ call to repent and believe in the Gospel (Good News)?

How do we celebrate Lent?
